Flakes
This is the size factor for the generated structure. With larger values you get fewer but larger flakes within the texture tile. Starting point for the scaling is the lower left corner of the texture tile.
This value controls the individual size of the flakes and thus also the width of the gaps between the flakes. By increasing the Density value, all flakes increase until almost all gaps are filled. With lower Density values, the distances between the flakes increase, so that overlaps of adjacent flakes are reduced..
Controls the color contrast of the flakes. Lowering the Intensity value will therefore match its color to the neutral background color. If the Flake Node is used to control the Normals within the reflections, it can be used to define the randomness of the flake alignment within a the paint.
Noise
The placement of the flakes and their coloring is random and based on the Start value.
Forms the basis of the random calculation for the flake placement and its coloring. A change in this value therefore leads to a recalculation of the flakes.
